  • Pack a backpack and take the sunscreen for a long beach walk towards the Groot Paternoster Nature Reserve, aproximately 7kms – Langstrand
  • Kayak around the bay to spot some dolphins, seals and whales along with penguins, cormorants and sea gulls up close.   • Go to the spa at Paternoster Dunes / Abalone House

  • Visit Bokkom Laan in Velddrif and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Berg River’s abundant bird life and see the age old tradition of making bokkoms (dried fish).
  • Visit Simply Bee Honey Farm in Hopefield for a wide variety of honey and beeswax products.
  • Visit Evita Bezuidenhout Museum in Darling a South African anti-apartheid icon.
  • Drive through Langebaan on to the West Coast National Park especially during Flower Season for a spectacular wild flower display unlike any other.
  • Visit Grootte Post Wine Farm on the way back to Cape Town and taste their delicious varieties of wines.

  • Visit iKwaThu Koisan Village on the way back to Cape Town for an interesting guided tour thought a traditional and working Koisan village
  • Drive to Jacobsbaai via Vredenburg on the way to Saldanha.
